Editorial Policy
Financial content should be held to a higher standard, because readers act on it with real money. This is the standard we hold ourselves to.
Last updated: July 14, 202601.Our Mission
AlbertAppLoans.com exists to give U.S. borrowers accurate, current, and honest information about Albert’s lending products and their alternatives — clearly enough that a reader can decide in minutes whether a product fits, and what it will actually cost.
02.Sourcing Standards
Every factual claim on this site traces to a verifiable source:
- Official product disclosures — provider terms, fee schedules, and legal agreements
- Regulator records — FDIC bank data, FINRA/SIPC membership, state licensing information
- App store data — published ratings and review volumes
- Verified user reviews — used for themes and experience patterns, never as a substitute for documented terms
We do not report rumors, and where a detail cannot be verified, we say so or omit it.
03.How Our Editorial Scores Work
Product pages carry an editorial score out of 5, built from weighted sub-scores — typically cost, speed, limits, and transparency or credit-building value. Scores are set by the editorial team against fixed criteria, applied identically across products, and are never influenced by compensation (see our Advertiser Disclosure). When a product deserves a 3.8 on cost, it gets a 3.8.
04.Balance Requirement
Every review must state the product’s limitations with the same prominence as its strengths. A page about a product we recommend still lists its express fees, subscription costs, starting limits, and state restrictions. Content that reads like an advertisement fails our standard.
05.Update Cadence & Dating
Financial terms change, so our pages carry visible "Last updated" dates. We review core product facts (limits, fees, APRs, state availability) on a recurring schedule and immediately when a provider announces changes. Comparison and competitor data is time-stamped "as of" its verification date.
06.Corrections Policy
When we get something wrong, we fix it quickly and plainly. If you spot an error — a stale fee, an outdated limit, a broken comparison — email [email protected]. Verified corrections are made promptly and material corrections update the page’s revision date.
07.Independence
AlbertAppLoans.com is independently owned. The companies we cover do not preview, approve, or edit our content. Commercial relationships are disclosed in our Advertiser Disclosure and are structurally separated from editorial decisions.
