Whether Albert can lend to you depends on the product and your state. Advances work everywhere; personal loans are governed by state lending laws. Here's the complete 2026 map in list form.

In a Restricted State? You Still Have Options

The restriction only touches personal loans. Instant Advances up to $1,000 remain available nationwide with no credit check — see how advances work. And if you need a true installment loan where Albert can't offer one, the Albert alternatives roundup covers which competitors lend in your state.

State Availability: FAQ

Yes. The state restrictions apply to Albert personal loans (Instant Loans), not Instant Advances. Advances are structured as non-recourse paycheck advances rather than loans, so they're available nationwide — including in all 11 states where loans aren't offered.
State lending laws differ on licensing, rate caps, and product rules. Albert issues loans through FinWise Bank and its own state licenses in Utah and Florida, and in some states the regulatory framework doesn't currently accommodate this loan structure at up to 36% APR.
Fintech lenders add states as licensing allows, and availability lists change without much notice. If your state is currently restricted, check the Albert app periodically — and consider the Instant Advance or a comparable alternative available where you live in the meantime.
